Summer at Alton Bay

 

Each summer, beginning the first week of July and continuing through Labor Day, the Alton Bay Christian Retreat Center comes alive with faith, fellowship, and community. We joyfully welcome back our tenants, members, and guests for a season filled with inspiring worship and meaningful connection. Morning services are held in the historic Tabernacle, while evening services take place in the Chapel. Special music programs fill the Tabernacle with praise throughout the season, alongside a full calendar of Bible studies, potluck dinners, and other social gatherings that bring our community together in friendship and faith.

​​We love our volunteers! The Alton Bay Christian Retreat Center could not do what we do without the incredible dedication and servant hearts of our volunteer community. Each year, volunteers play a vital role in helping us serve the Lord and care for our beautiful lakeside campus.

 

We are actively seeking volunteers for the upcoming summer season. If you’re interested in joining us, please fill out the volunteer card below — include your name, phone number, and email address. In the comment section, let us know the areas where you’d like to serve.

 

There are so many ways to get involved, including:

 

  • Grounds upkeep, beautification, and flowers

  • Kitchen help (dishwashing, serving, and special events)

  • Ice cream nights and weekend game planning

  • Light maintenance and handyman projects

  • Leading or assisting Bible studies

  • Helping with Vacation Bible School (VBS)

  • Morning choir and worship support

  • Water ski ministry

  • Morning and evening service assistance or A/V support

  • Filming or photography on the grounds

  • Snack shop assistance

  • Lifeguards and youth activity chaperones

  • Weekend office help

  • Overseeing sports events (basketball, volleyball, pickleball, cornhole, and more
